One Week Intensive: July 6 - 12, 3 Sessions per Day:
8:30 - 10:00 | 10:30 - 12:00 | 4:30 - 6:00
This course is intended for anyone new to Anthroposophy and for those who wish to deepen, expand, or clarify their understanding of Steiner's core teachings and the basic practices of Anthroposophy.
The course will follow the selections included in The New Essential Steiner (to be published in 2008). If not in print by June 2008 the book will be sent to students electronically soon after registration. Approximately half of each class period will be given to lectures. As the other half will be given to question/answer and discussion based on the readings, it is strongly recommended that students read as much as possible of The New Essential Steiner prior to the course. Students will also be provided with selections from the instructor's book in progress, Steiner—Unique, Not Alone, one section for each of the ten classes of the course, as follows: Biography, Philosophy, Science, Spiritual Anthropology, Evolution of Consciousness, Christ and Higher Beings, Arts, Society, Education, and The Anthroposophical Society.
Each class session will introduce an exercise from Christopher Bamford's book, Start Now!
